Copper Age Backport, formerly known as Copper Golem Legacy, rebuilds the complete Copper Age experience for older Minecraft versions. It starts with the Copper Golem from the 2021 mob vote and grows outward into a full set of copper blocks, items and mechanics, all tied together by the oxidation system that makes copper worth building with in the first place.
The golem itself is the centrepiece. Place a carved pumpkin on a copper block and it springs to life, moving items between Copper Chests and pressing nearby Copper Buttons at random, which turns it into a small automated helper for redstone and storage rooms. It weathers through four oxidation stages, Iron Golems will offer it flowers, and both its oxidation speed and the size of the stacks it carries can be tuned in the config.
Around the golem sits a large decoration and utility set: Copper Chests that oxidize, wax and pair into doubles, Copper Statues in four poses that emit comparator signals from 1 to 4 and can be turned back into living golems, and Copper Buttons, Lanterns, Chains and Bars in eight weathering variants each, alongside a Copper Torch with custom flame particles. Wooden Shelves in twelve wood types add a light storage display block, and copper tools, armor and horse armor fill the gap between stone and iron gear. On 1.20.1 the set widens further with copper trapdoors, doors, chiseled copper, grates and redstone bulbs.
Vanilla backport content is registered under the minecraft namespace, so worlds migrate cleanly when you eventually move up to a version that ships the Copper Age itself. Over fifty custom sounds cover the new entities, blocks and interactions, and compatibility hooks are in place for Amendments, Friends and Foes, SophisticatedStorage, IronChests, ConnectibleChains, Quark and shelf recipes from other backport mods.
