Birds is a small, focused addition to the wildlife of a Minecraft world. It adds a single new creature, a bird that looks much like a house sparrow, and drops it into the place where you would expect to find one: the forest. At around 0.03 MB it is about as light as a content addition can be.
What sets the bird apart from a lone passive mob is how it moves. Birds fly in flocks, so a stretch of woodland gains a layer of movement in the sky above it rather than one animal wandering the ground.
For now they are mostly ambient creatures, though additional behaviours may be added in future updates. Both the Boids mod and Fabric API need to be installed alongside this add-on, which is built for Fabric on Minecraft 1.21.1.
