YUNG’s Better Desert Temples is a complete redesign of the desert temples in Minecraft. Instead of the plain vanilla layout, each temple becomes a far more exciting structure packed with fresh puzzles, traps and parkour challenges, and the reward for working through it is much better loot than the original ever handed out.
A pharaoh waits at the end of the temple, and while it still stands every player inside is affected by mining fatigue, so breaking your way straight to the treasure is impractical. Clear the temple by defeating the pharaoh and the mining fatigue for that structure is lifted for good, leaving you free to explore and empty it out at your own pace.
Both of those behaviors are optional. The mining fatigue effect can be switched off in the config, and vanilla desert temples can be re-enabled so the old and the new versions generate side by side. The structures are also designed to sit alongside any world generation mod, including the other YUNG structure mods and Repurposed Structures.
