Moving villagers is one of the slowest chores in survival Minecraft. They keep running off the moment you turn around, and the usual answer is a tedious boat ride that carries a single villager at a time. This mod replaces the whole procedure with one interaction: hold an empty bucket, right-click a villager and it travels in your inventory instead.
Nothing is lost while a villager sits in the bucket. Its name tag, profession, trade list and other data ride along, and the item lore spells out exactly who is inside, so a full stack of buckets never becomes a guessing game. Villagers from snowy, desert, swamp and savanna regions keep the look of their head decorations thanks to their own bucket textures, and the same trick works on wandering traders and on zombie villagers waiting to be cured.
Redstone builders are covered as well, because a dispenser can both collect a villager and place one back down. A properties file in the config folder decides whether zombie villagers can be picked up at all, and custom advancements are handed out for bucketing villagers along the way. The mod has to be present on the client and on the server alike, while current builds no longer need the Architectury API that earlier ones did.
