The Rings of Power keeps its scope deliberately tight: one creative tab, twenty rings, and a set of bonuses lifted from the Lord of the Rings. Elven, dwarven and human rings sit alongside the One Ring itself, and while every one of them works the same way mechanically, each carries a different effect, so deciding which ring to keep on you becomes a small choice in its own right.
The passive side is described as the will of the ring. Simply having a ring in your inventory applies its effect, and there is no way to shake that effect off other than getting the ring out of your bags. Some of the bonuses disappear the moment the ring is gone, while others linger for up to ten seconds afterwards. The One Ring turns the bearer invisible, Narya covers fire resistance, Nenya handles breathing underwater, Vilya combines jump and speed, the dwarven rings hand out dig speed and resistance, and the rings of Men give strength and night vision.
Right-clicking switches a ring into its active mode for three minutes. Every ring shares the same pair of active effects, Health Boost and Regeneration, which turns any of the twenty into a short emergency button layered on top of whatever passive bonus it already provides. The whole package runs on Minecraft 1.6.4 with Forge and stays a small, self-contained addition rather than a sweeping overhaul.
