Better Than Wolves is a total conversion rather than an add-on. It changes many of the rules of play to make survival deeper and far more demanding, while staying true to the feel of the original game, and it never hands you a magic block that solves a problem outright.
Community Edition is the direct successor of that original mod, built on the same source code and following the same vision. It modernises the experience, completes systems that were left unfinished, fixes a long list of bugs and adds new content on top of what was already there.
Play begins with that first night of hiding in a dark hole while monsters roam outside, then opens into a long technology tree. You craft windmills, kilns and crucibles, gradually master your surroundings and eventually work your way up to steel production. This build runs on Legacy Fabric for Minecraft 1.6.4.
