Adding new biomes to the Aether is not as straightforward as adding them to the Overworld, because the dimension runs on its own biome and terrain system rather than the vanilla generator. AeroBlender closes that gap by taking TerraBlender’s biome handling and adapting it to the Aether, so extra biomes slot into the dimension without separate addons fighting over the same generation.
For mod authors it is an API rather than a content pack. Custom biomes are registered through AeroBlender, which handles weaving them into the Aether’s terrain and keeps several addons compatible inside the same world. That is why it has become the foundation for large Aether expansions such as Deep Aether and The Aether: Redux, and why it is usually installed as a required dependency of another mod rather than picked on its own.
Because it is a library, it does nothing on its own: The Aether and TerraBlender both have to be installed alongside it before anything happens. One thing worth checking is that Deep Aether already ships with AeroBlender inside it, so if you run both, make sure you do not end up with two copies loaded at once, since a duplicate is a common source of compatibility problems and odd bugs.
