YUNG’s Better Ocean Monuments rebuilds the underwater monument into something worth the dive. Better Monuments are much larger than their vanilla counterparts and their layouts are completely randomized, so every monument you come across has its own arrangement of rooms and passages instead of the single floor plan you already know by heart.
The rewards were reworked as well. Clearing a Better Monument yields much better loot than the vanilla structure, including Tridents and a Heart of the Sea, which finally gives underwater exploration a clear payoff. Combined with the increased size, that turns a monument raid into a proper expedition rather than a quick detour on the way somewhere else.
Because the mod redesigns a vanilla structure, compatibility with other worldgen content matters. It is intended to work with every worldgen mod, including other YUNG structure sets such as Better Desert Temples, Better Mineshafts, Better Strongholds, Extras and Bridges. Repurposed Structures is supported too, and it even provides a data pack that adds repurposed versions of these overhauled monuments.
