Universal Shops brings flexible trade shops to Minecraft servers with a single block. Craft a Trade Shop from four planks, a piece of wool and an iron ingot, place it against a chest or another container, and the Shop Settings screen opens so you can decide what is sold and what it costs.
Running the shop is deliberately low effort. Stock comes straight out of the container behind the block, so restocking means nothing more than filling that chest, and hopper support can be enabled if you want the process automated. The hologram floating above the shop can be switched off when it clutters a build, and settings are changed simply by clicking the matching item, including copying an item held on the cursor directly into a slot.
Buying is equally direct: open the shop, take the item on offer, or hold shift to move it straight into your inventory. An Admin Trade Shop with the same setup is available for server staff and map makers.
The mod is purely server side, which means it works with vanilla client compatible servers as well as modpack based ones, and it still functions in singleplayer. Container access is respected through the Common Protection API, so pairing it with a compatible protection mod keeps shops tied to the players who actually own the chests behind them.
