AdvancedAE is a quality-of-life expansion for Applied Energistics 2 with one clear goal: make a large ME System less fiddly to run. Its Advanced Pattern Encoder lets Processing Patterns state exactly which face of a machine each input should be sent to, which removes the need for extra pipes and used sides on machines that care about them.
The centrepiece is the Quantum Computer, a special crafting unit that can run an unlimited number of jobs as long as crafting storage holds out, with every concurrent task sharing all co-processors in the multiblock. A single Quantum Core already works on its own with 256M of storage and eight co-processors, while Quantum Data Entanglers and Quantum Multi-Threaders multiply storage and co-processors by four. Grown to its full 5x5x5 size, the structure still costs only one channel.
Around that sit several smaller machines. The Quantum Crafter runs a series of crafts every tick using the ME inventory directly, copes with recursive recipes and non-consumed ingredients, and can be configured to keep ingredient stacks or hold a set amount of the end product in stock. The Reaction Chamber converts large amounts of power into efficient processing recipes, and the Stock Export Bus regulates a target inventory to an exact amount, crafting what is missing when a crafting card is fitted.
For the player, the Quantum Armor set connects to the network itself, combining strong defence with inertia-free flight, night vision, a magnet, immunity to various damage sources and food pulled automatically from ME storage. The ME Throughput Monitor rounds the package off by tracking items, fluids or FE energy per tick, per second or per minute.
