Spud’s shops is built for modded public servers, where players need a straightforward way to sell to each other. Shops are physical blocks bound to whoever places them, indestructible to everyone else apart from creative mode administrators, and payment is pulled from a customer’s inventory automatically.
There are six styles to pick from. The Trader’s Crate is a simple rustic wooden box, the Chain Hook dangles goods from above and suits fish or heads, the Magic Rug gives its stock levitation so items tumble slowly in the air, the Windowsill is a plain stone counter that works well as a bakery front, Shelves behave like slabs and can occupy the top, the bottom or both for two shops in one block, and the original Display Case is a glass case with a dyeable cushion.
Shops can also be staffed. A contract scroll is signed by the player being hired with a right click, then slotted into the permission row of your choice. Clerks can only stock the shop, supervisors get full inventory access, managers can hire and remove staff below their rank, and owners have full control including trades and breaking the shop. Pulling the contract back out removes that access again.
The interface stays deliberately unrestrictive, the trade setting slots never eat your own items, and every wood type has a matching GUI texture. It runs on NeoForge for 1.21.1 at roughly 0.87 MB, and is actively used on a modded public server for real world testing.
