Oritech is a technology mod built around animated multiblock machinery. Its content spans ore processing, world interaction machines, logistical parts, worldgen additions and equipment, and upgrades are implemented as addon blocks attached to the machines themselves.
Automation covers the whole chain. Item, fluid and energy pipes tie machines together with only one tier per pipe type, drones carry goods across vast distances, laser arms mine blocks on their own and automated farming machines keep renewable materials flowing. Electric tools and armor, cybernetic player augmentation and particle accelerators add to the list, alongside colorable machines, connected textures and animated doors for decoration.
The design deliberately avoids single-path bottlenecks. Plastic, for example, can be produced either from farming items or through oil processing, and most other materials have more than one route as well. Renewability is a running theme, from biofuel farms to bedrock extractors that keep metals coming in the late game, while naturally generated resource nodes and oil wells encourage auxiliary bases feeding a central hub.
Recipe viewers are supported through JEI, REI and EMI, with EMI giving the best results, and extensive configuration options are available with mod menu integration. Performance was treated as a design constraint too: pipe networks are cached, block entities only exist where they are actually needed and network updates are sent only when something changes. This NeoForge build is for Minecraft 1.21.1.
