Mellow is a shader pack with a painterly aesthetic, built for players who want nicer visuals without them getting in the way of actually playing. It is gentle on the eyes and easy on your computer, which makes it a comfortable choice even on modest hardware.
The pack gives you plenty of control over the final look. Pick one of several preset color schemes, fine-tune the extensive fog system and switch between multiple cloud styles. Shadows can be based on either the lightmap or a shadowmap, and the detailed color grading options let you adjust saturation, exposure and color balance until the world looks the way you like it.
Mellow works with Iris and OptiFine and plays well with mods such as Distant Horizons, Voxy and Colorwheel. Modern Nvidia, AMD and Intel graphics cards are supported on both Windows and Linux, while Macs may or may not work. The latest Iris version is recommended; OptiFine mostly works but has a few small bugs. Testing currently covers game versions 1.17 and newer, so older versions may or may not run correctly.
