Building in Minecraft usually forces a choice between the shape you want and the material you want. FramedBlocks removes that trade-off. It adds more than 130 block shapes — slopes and corner slopes, prisms, slabs, panels, pillars, stairs, walls, doors, ladders, rails, chests, signs and a long tail of stranger ones — all of them blank until you give them a look. Right-click a framed block with almost any solid block in the game and it takes on that texture, so a roof of deepslate slopes or a quartz half pillar is a single right-click away.
Camo is not limited to solid blocks. A filled fluid container applied to a framed block makes it look like the fluid inside, Glowstone Dust makes it give off light, and the Framed Hammer strips the camo back off when you change your mind. A small toolkit handles the rest: the Framed Wrench rotates a block according to the face you clicked, the Framed Screwdriver cycles through the states a camo block can take, the Framed Blueprint copies a finished block including its camo and glowing state, and the Framed Key freezes a shape so neighbouring blocks cannot force it into a different form.
Several of the shapes do more than decorate. The Collapsible Block lets you pull the four corners of a single face in or out to form an arbitrary slope, which covers the terrain and roof edges that no fixed shape fits. The One-Way Window is see-through from one side only, the Glowing Cube shines in the dark without emitting light, the Target’s markings can be dyed, and the Framed Chest can wear its latch in the default style, in the camo texture or not at all. With the right server setting most blocks can also be made intangible, letting you walk straight through them.
Configuration goes deep for builders and server owners alike. Connected textures can be supported at four levels, from off to detailed matching across neighbouring framed blocks, while ghost block previews, fancy hitboxes and face culling each have their own switch. The server side decides whether block entities may be used as camo, whether camo items are consumed when applied, and which item marks a block intangible. Datapack tags let a pack author whitelist or blacklist individual blocks as camo, so modded materials that were missed can be added without touching the mod itself.
