Beyond Dimensions is a storage and utility mod built around a single idea: the Dimensional Network, a virtual storage system that opens up once you reach the late game. Instead of filling a room with drives and chests, the network keeps items, fluids, FE energy, XP, Mekanism chemicals, Ars Nouveau sources, Botania mana and Industrial Foregoing souls together, with space for up to 2.1 billion different resource types and a very large capacity for each one.
Getting in takes some work. Defeat the Wither or otherwise obtain a Nether Star, craft it into an Unstable Space-Time Fragment, then keep that fragment in your inventory for an hour until it becomes stable. The stable fragment builds a Dimensional Network Generator, and activating it creates your network. From then on a single hotkey, set to O by default, opens the storage interface. That interface follows the interaction logic players already know from other popular storage mods, with a built-in crafting grid, several search modes and multiple sorting options.
Automation is handled by a family of blocks bound to the network. Network Pathways expose the entire storage contents to pipes, hoppers and storage buses, an energy variant is dedicated to FE transfer at very high rates, the Network Interface works with pattern and storage slots, and the Net Pump, Net Hopper and Net Furnace pull, absorb and smelt resources on their own. Portable tools such as the Net Feeder and Net Magnet fit into a Curios Charm slot, and holding an item lets you pull or deposit a stack with a middle click.
Integration is broad. JEI and EMI support ghost ingredient marking and quick recipe transfer, an AE2 Dimensional ME Storage Cell reads the bound network’s contents with far better performance than storage buses, and KubeJS exposes the classes needed to change how networks are created, how much they hold and how they expand. Networks bind by player permission, so one network can be shared between several players, or handed around in item form as a Terminal.
