Noo’s Transit Expansion, usually shortened to NTE, is an experimental extension layer for the Minecraft Transit Railway mod. Rather than replacing the transit system you already run, it sits on top of it and adds new functionality that is still being shaped and tested in real worlds.
The add-on exists as a proving ground. New features are released and exhibited in NTE first so they can be experimented with in live worlds, and the parts that prove stable are meant to be folded into the transit mod itself later on. That route comes from inside the project, since the work is done by one of the base mod’s own contributors.
Compatibility matters more than usual with this one. NTE is built against Minecraft Transit Railway 3.2.2 and is not compatible with MTR 4, so check your transit mod version before adding it to a pack. It runs on both Fabric and Forge for Minecraft 1.20.x, and reading the introduction material first will save time given how experimental the feature set is.
