Hopper Gadgetry is an item transport add-on for players who want clever logistics without a PhD in industrial machinery. It keeps the vanilla feel of hoppers and minecarts while adding a handful of cheap blocks that solve the problems every Minecraft storage room eventually runs into: filtering, one-way item flow and picking loose drops up off the floor.
The Grated Hopper is the centrepiece. It behaves like a normal hopper until you place items into its five filter slots, after which it only accepts what you told it to, which keeps item sorting cheap to build. A set of iron bars across its top face sets it apart from an ordinary hopper at a glance.
Ducts and Chutes cover the rest of the chain. A Duct is a wooden pipe that only sends items into the containers it touches, never pulls from them and ignores loose items on the ground, and Ducts link together in chains in any direction, including upwards. A Chute does the opposite job: it grabs items from the ground and passes them instantly into the container below, holding nothing itself and knowing only one direction, which is down.
Both new hoppers also come on wheels. The Grated Hopper Minecart carries the same filtering power around a track, while the Chute Minecart rolls along picking up items and transferring them directly to containers below, which makes it a tidy cleanup crew for farms and mob grinders.
