HiddenMons fills gaps in the Cobblemon roster with species the original mod has not reached yet. All of the designs and animations are original work inspired by Cobblemon and Pokémon itself, so the new arrivals sit next to the existing line-up without looking out of place.
Each species carries its own spawn rules tied to biome, height and time of day, so finding one means heading to the right place rather than waiting around. Togepi and its evolutions turn up around flowers in dark forests, cherry groves, flower forests, meadows and sunflower plains. Swablu and Altaria appear above Y=100 in mountainous biomes exposed to the sky, while Snom and Frosmoth show up after dark across frozen rivers, snowy plains, snowy beaches and jagged peaks.
Rarer catches take real effort. Kartana is an ultra-rare find in bamboo jungles exposed to the sky, Roaring Moon turns up in mountain biomes at night, and Galarian Yamask waits below Y=60 around stone bricks, cracked stone bricks and mossy stone bricks, or more rarely near Cobblemon ruins after dark. Spookier spawns such as Shuppet, Banette, Sinistea and Polteageist favour the Deep Dark and spooky biomes, with Sinistea appearing in both Phony and the harder-to-find Antique form.
The line-up also covers Spritzee and Aromatisse in flower forests and forests, Skwovet and Greedent across taiga and forest, and Pancham and Pangoro in forests and bamboo jungles. A full set of Minior colour variants is mapped across savanna, sandy, jungle, coastal, glacial, Nether and End spawns, though that group is temporarily disabled.
