Alpha Pokémon are the headline of this Cobblemon add-on. They turn up naturally while you explore and stand well apart from an ordinary encounter: configurable size scaling makes them physically imposing, their IVs are improved and their overall stats are enhanced. Optional settings can raise their shiny chance or hand them hidden abilities, and tutor move mastery means a caught Alpha arrives with more than raw size on its side.
Some Alpha species do not travel alone. The herd system attaches a group of followers to the Alpha, and they hold a loose formation around it as it moves through the world. The moment the Alpha is pulled into a battle the herd flees, then returns and resumes formation once the danger has passed. The link is permanent, so herd members keep tracking their own Alpha rather than drifting off on their own.
Everything here is data-driven. Per-species definitions live in datapacks, so server owners and modpack makers decide which species can become Alphas and how far they scale up, and spawning itself is configurable, underground encounters included. That makes the mod easy to tune for a demanding survival server or a relaxed exploration world alike, and it runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1 as an ecosystem built for Cobblemon 1.7.3.
