The Xavious' Laser Gun introduces a fully custom energy weapon to 7 Days to Die, complete with its own model, sound effects, and visual flair. Instead of traditional ammunition, it runs on a rechargeable charge system similar to in-game batteries, which can be refilled using a Battery Bank or crafted Battery Packs made from car batteries.
Crafting the weapon requires points in the Electrician skill and access to a workbench with steel. As the weapon's quality increases, so does its number of mod slots, allowing players to customize it with unique attachments learned through Electrical Traps crafting books. These include elemental Beam Modulators like Pyrolytic, Electro, Cavitating, X-ray, Cryonic, and Corrosive, each triggering different effects on enemies depending on whether they are Smoking or Smoldering from repeated hits.
Three consolidated elemental mods—Plasmatic, Phase Arrest, and Radiolytic—combine effects to save mod slots at the cost of extra energy use. Certain enemy types also resist specific elements, adding strategic depth to loadout choices.
This mod is ideal for players who enjoy sci-fi weaponry and want a new high-skill, high-customization weapon system layered on top of 7 Days to Die's existing combat and crafting mechanics.
