Baby zombies have been unsettling Minecraft players for years, and Tiny Skeletons asks the obvious follow-up question before answering it: if baby zombies exist, why not baby skeletons? Ordinary skeletons, strays, bogged, parched and even wither skeletons all get tiny variants, appearing naturally with a 5% chance in the same way their zombie counterparts do.
Each variant fights in its own style rather than being a shrunken copy of the adult. Baby skeletons open with the bow and then pull out a wooden sword the moment you close the distance. Baby strays lob icy snowballs packed with pebbles that chip away at your health and shove you backwards, occasionally leaving blue ice behind. Baby bogged throw mushrooms, and baby parched fling chunks of sand, which doubles as a convenient way to stock up on the stuff.
Baby wither skeletons are the odd ones out. Instead of charging in they run away from you, terrified that you are after the wither skeleton skull they always carry. Beat one and the skull is a guaranteed drop, or offer it a wither rose and it will part with the skull peacefully instead.
Several of the variants come with special drops and alternate ways to obtain useful resources, so they are worth hunting rather than avoiding. The mod is needed on the client and on the server, sits on top of Puzzles Lib, and its options can be adjusted in game through a mod menu or edited directly in the config files if you would rather not install one.
