New Emotional Traits is a custom trait pack for The Sims 4 that introduces nine original traits built around specific moods such as Embarrassed, Dazed, Bored, and Fine. Each trait comes with its own set of buffs and situational moodlets that shape how a Sim reacts emotionally to daily life.
The pack expands gameplay depth by adding traits like Insecure, Oblivious, Restless, Stoic, Arrogant, Daydreamer, and Perky — extreme or alternate versions of existing emotional archetypes with their own strengths and drawbacks. Several traits also add Build/Buy preferences, making Sims favor certain furniture or decor that matches their personality.
All nine traits are available for Sims from childhood through elder and include small bonuses tied to Character Values from the Parenthood pack. Broadcaster behaviors, such as how Arrogant or Egghead Sims affect those around them, have been fine-tuned for more natural social interactions.
