The M1116 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, better known simply as the Humvee, is one of the most recognisable vehicles in the US inventory and serves with the Army, the Air Force, the Marines and a long list of other nations. This is the up-armored variant, fitted with additional armor plates and a gunner turret that gives the man behind the gun far more protection.
The mounted M2 Browning .50 cal actually works and can be operated by a passenger, with the rounds moving along with the recoil of the weapon. The hood can be opened to reveal the engine underneath, the transmission is animated and visible when you take the truck across rough terrain, and the lights function as they should.
Two texture sets are supplied, a flat desert scheme and a woodland pattern, with one active at a time. Custom LOD and collision models are included, so bullet impacts register correctly on both the metal bodywork and the glass, and the truck holds up properly at distance and in collisions.
