The M1A2 Abrams is the current main battle tank of the US Army, and this build puts it in place of the Rhino. It comes with the Tank Urban Survival Kit, so you get reactive armor blocks along the hull and extra protection around the gunner position, plus a set of stowage bags on the turret that can be taken off again through the vehicle components menu if you prefer a cleaner silhouette.
Two texture sets are included, a woodland pattern and a flat desert camo, and only one can be active at a time. The driver compartment and the gunner interior are modelled even though you cannot physically climb into them, and a passenger can ride in the opened hatch on the left side of the turret.
On the move the tracks follow the terrain rather than staying rigid, the antennas sway with the tank’s momentum, and the wheels and lights all work. All LOD levels are included with a custom collision mesh, and when the Abrams finally goes up, panels, the machine gun and the turret bags can all break off. Only the main cannon can be fired, since a second gunner seat caused crashes.
