Farming Simulator 25: Catuaí Map Previewed for Beans & Alpacas DLC

Rolling hills with red soil, coffee plantations and a river on the Catuaí map in Farming Simulator 25

Giants Software showed off the new map coming with Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas on October 21, 2026. The expansion takes players to Catuaí, a region built around the rural landscapes of Brazil, and the preview walks through what makes the map tick before it arrives.

Catuaí is shaped by rolling hills, a river that runs through most of the map, and wooden bridges linking farms, production sites and a central village. The defining visual element is terra roxa, the iron-oxide-rich red soil found in the region, paired with Atlantic rainforest vegetation and coffee plantations set into the hillsides.

Farms, Village and Production Chains

Players start with a farmhouse and a basic set of vehicles, then branch out toward coffee-growing slopes, the rainforest and the village that anchors local activity. Two gas stations sit on the map, with the bigger one in the village alongside a spinnery, logistics center, paper mill, oil refinery, animal dealer and vehicle dealer.

New production chains tie directly into the expansion’s additions. Coffee processing facilities are spread across Catuaí, and a separate chain built around paint turns dye and resin into a finished product at a dedicated Paint Factory, with multiple materials usable for producing the dye.

Weather, Wildlife and Points of Interest

Instead of snow, Catuaí cycles between a dry season and a rainy season. Rain visibly changes the map: puddles form on roads, the red soil darkens as it soaks up moisture, brickwork absorbs water and shifts color, and metal surfaces pick up a reflective sheen.

Wildlife adds some flavor too, with parrots and caimans appearing as players explore. Giants confirmed the caimans don’t bite, keeping things within the game’s age rating.

There’s also a research station near the map’s edge built with wooden construction and a thatched roof, housing information posters on local trees, sugarcane, coffee, alpacas and regional instruments. A town museum lets players rebuild a dinosaur skeleton by finding bones scattered across Catuaí, and several hiking spots offer views over the farmland below.

What This Means for FS25 Mod Users

New maps and crop types in Farming Simulator 25 can affect compatibility with existing mods, especially vehicle packs tuned for specific crop cycles or map-specific placeable mods. Anyone running a heavily modded save should back up their savegame before installing Beans & Alpacas and check mod pages for updates addressing the new coffee and paint production chains once the expansion is out.
