Brańszczyk Commune Map Add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2
This add-on recreates the Brańszczyk commune in Poland at a true 1:1 scale and grafts it into Project Ruda Śląska, so it’s aimed squarely at players who already run detailed Polish road networks and want another local area to explore. It isn’t a standalone country map; it’s an extension, which means you’ll get the most out of it as one piece of a larger realistic map setup rather than a self-contained expansion.
What you drive here
The whole point is local roads, not motorway mileage. At a 1:1 scale the distances feel natural instead of the compressed spacing of the default ETS2 map, so junctions, villages, turns, and short connecting sections read more like real Polish countryside. That makes it a slower, more deliberate kind of driving: narrow lanes, local intersections, and roadside detail reward careful navigation. It pairs nicely with regional cargo, smaller trucks, or light trailer runs, and there’s less margin for sloppy braking or wide steering than on an open highway.
What it’s good for
If you enjoy calm countryside routes, realistic screenshots, and unhurried transport roleplay, the commune area adds geographic variety to an already Poland-focused environment. Just don’t expect long-distance highways or multiple countries; the value is accurate scale and local detail. Crucially, it requires Project Ruda Śląska as the base map, so install that first and mind your load order; if the area doesn’t appear or the game crashes on load, test with only the required Ruda Śląska files enabled, and check that your game version matches both mods.
Installing it the ETS2 way: drop the .zip into your Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod folder (no unzipping needed) and enable it in the in-game Mod Manager above its base map. New to mods? Our ETS2 install guide walks through every step.
🔧 Our Test Notes
Hands-on notes from the CrashMods team
Half the screenshots we saved this week came from villages inside this commune. At a true 1:1 scale, Brańszczyk's junctions, narrow lanes, and short connecting roads sit at real-world spacing, so the Polish countryside stops feeling compressed and starts photographing like an actual place, and the roadside detail holds up when you park the truck and walk the camera around. It drives the way it looks: slow, deliberate, and better suited to regional cargo and light trailer runs than anything long-haul, with corners that ask for planned braking rather than motorway autopilot. Our one heads-up is that this isn't standalone; it grafts onto Project Ruda Śląska, so that base map has to be active underneath it, and if the area refuses to appear, test with only the required Ruda Śląska files enabled, and make sure your game version matches both mods. For unhurried transport roleplay, it's a small, precise pleasure. Tested on ETS2 1.60.
