Freightliner FLB for Euro Truck Simulator 2
The FLB is a classic American cab-over-engine truck, and this standalone mod drops it into Euro Truck Simulator 2 with a genuinely deep set of customization options. The short COE layout gives it a flat-fronted profile that changes how it feels in traffic, depots, and tight delivery yards compared to a long-nose conventional. It still handles long-distance highway work fine, but the real appeal is the styling and the sheer amount of mechanical variety on offer.
On the road
With the cab sitting right over the front axle, visibility and turning position differ from a long-hood truck, so give it a route or two to adjust. Five chassis options cover different jobs; a shorter setup is handier in cities and loading areas, a longer or heavier-duty one feels more planted under big trailers, and the choice affects turning, braking, and reversing. Where it really opens up is the drivetrain: 22 engines and 23 gearboxes let you build for relaxed cruising, strong pulling power, or specific shift behavior, worth testing before a heavy long-haul run.
What’s included
Two cabins with one interior, five chassis, 22 engines, 23 gearboxes, its own sounds, cable connection support, glass and other animations, eight skins plus paint support, and broad tuning support with cabin accessory slots. It sells from the Freightliner dealership, so it slots into a career without replacing a stock truck. With this many options, test combinations with different trailer weights first, and if it does not show at the dealer or parts go missing, check the game version, load order, and any conflicting accessory or sound mods.
Installing is simple: drop the .scs file straight into your Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod folder and enable it in the in-game mod manager. New to mods? Our ETS2 install guide walks through every step.
🔧 Our Test Notes
Hands-on notes from the CrashMods team
Coming out of long-nose conventional trucks, the first delivery in this felt odd—with the cab sitting right over the front axle, you place the truck differently in corners, and backing into a tight bay took a couple of tries to recalibrate. An evening in, it clicked, and now the flat front is exactly why we keep picking it for city work: you can tuck it into depots and delivery yards a long-hood truck has no business fitting into. The spec depth is absurd in the best way—22 engines and 23 gearboxes mean the difference between a lazy cruiser and a proper heavy hauler is just a dealer visit, and it's worth shaking down your combo under a light trailer before committing to a heavy long-haul contract. It buys from the Freightliner dealership like any stock truck, so it drops into a career save cleanly, and the dedicated sounds plus the small cabin animations do a lot for immersion on long runs. Tested on ETS2 1.60.
