SnowRunner Season 19 Recap and RoadCraft’s Foundations Update

A heavy truck driving through snowy Swiss Alps terrain in SnowRunner

Focus Entertainment used its October developer diary to look back at SnowRunner’s newest season and look ahead to RoadCraft’s next expansion, which lands on November 3, 2026.

Season 19, subtitled Research & Restore, launched in October and sends players into a snow-covered Swiss canton. Jobs include patching up an aging viaduct, shielding mountain roads from avalanches, and helping get a hot-air balloon festival off the ground. The main storyline has players restoring a mountaintop space observatory and hauling in fragile optical gear for it. The season spans three large maps.

Two new trucks arrived alongside the season. The Wortek 250T is a Heavy-class rig that can carry a long list of attachments and holds one of the biggest fuel tanks in the game. The 8×8 Derry Savior runs three steering axles, giving it strong pulling force without sacrificing handling in tight spots. The update that shipped with the season also tuned up the two most recent Mercedes-Benz trucks and fixed several crashes affecting the Nintendo Switch 2 version.

Season 19 is part of the Year 5 Pass and runs on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2. Focus also mentioned that Season 20 is now in the works, with a rough window somewhere between late winter and early spring. Unlike the gap between the last few Year 4 and Year 5 seasons, there will not be a standalone DLC before it lands, and the studio says it will bring four new trucks along with a fresh region.

RoadCraft Expansion 3: Foundations

RoadCraft’s third expansion, Foundations, releases on November 3, 2026, bringing two new maps named Spring Renewal and Oasis Delta. Four new vehicles join the roster: the ALCES PL30C Pile Driver, the Voltrack Concrete MX, the Voltrack MK11 Concrete Pumper, and the EPEC MAG240 magnetic crane. Three existing trucks also get new variants, including an asphalt roller, a wider heavy-hauler platform for moving oversized machinery, and a lightweight service vehicle built for rough ground.

The expansion adds a new gameplay layer centered on pile driving, the first step toward pouring large concrete foundations, along with new resources to haul called Piles and Concrete. Kelly, a character from earlier content, returns in this update. A minimalistic UI toggle was also added for players who want a cleaner screen during runs.

Separately, Focus wrapped up its “Epic Fails” screenshot contest, with Discord user blueaxolotl taking the win for a standout chaotic SnowRunner moment.

What it means for modders

Any season update that touches truck physics or map data is worth watching if you run custom trucks or map mods, since older files can break or need reworking after a patch. If you rely on mods for SnowRunner or plan to jump into RoadCraft’s Foundations expansion, check your mod list against the new build before loading a save, and keep a backup of your current setup in case something stops working after the update.
