The Precision Farming DLC is a free expansion for Farming Simulator 22 that makes your virtual farm more eco-friendly and sustainable. Its gameplay mechanics are based on real smart-farming technology: four different soil types, soil sampling, an economic analysis and an environmental score for your whole operation.
Crop sensors and dynamic yield mechanics help you cut back on seeds, lime, fertilizer, herbicide and fuel, saving money while reducing the environmental impact of your farm. Sprayers with spot-spraying equipment only apply fertilizer where it is needed, and the John Deere R732i PowrSpray, the ISARIA Scout and the ISARIA PRO Active extend your toolset for sustainable farming.
A new Precision Farming tab in the menu collects everything you need to optimize yield and keep control of your finances. The soil map with special filters shows the current state of your fields, every action is reflected in the economic analysis, and the environmental score, calculated from factors like reduced tillage, nitrogen levels and spot-spraying weed control, tells you how green your operation really is.
Behind the DLC is a project initiated by John Deere in Germany and funded by EIT Food with co-funding from the EU, developed together with the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Grupo AN in Spain and the universities of Hohenheim and Reading. Custom mod fruit types get seed rate and crop sensor support as well.
