Police Tweaks reworks the police system in Euro Truck Simulator 2 so that fines feel more realistic and less annoying. When a police car is present, you now get 10 seconds before a speeding fine is issued, and the chance that police detect you speeding has been cut by 70%.
Speed cameras, on the other hand, now have a 90% chance to fine you. The mod also stops double penalties, so you will no longer be fined twice when a police car is nearby, and the ‘No Lights’ fine is only given when police actually spot you.
The current release supports game version 1.60 and above. The update mostly covers the changes to the sleep system in 1.60 and adjusts the illegal trailer violation detection value to match that version’s defaults. One known issue remains: the 10-second speeding delay for police vehicles may not always work as intended, and it cannot be fixed from within the mod.
