John Deere introduced the 8R Series in 2009 to bolster its lineup of high-powered row-crop tractors for producers taking on more acres and spending longer hours in the cab. The real lineup covered six wheeled models and three track models from 225 to 345 engine horsepower, and this Farming Simulator 25 release brings both the North American and the European version.
The 8R 2010 Row Crop costs $177,000, delivers 225 HP to 345 HP and tops out at 50 kph. Configuration runs deep with 64 wheel setups for row crop, floaters and tracks, two Soucy Tracks systems, five Starfire options, seven front bracket and weight choices, four fender, four beacon and three safety triangle variants, plus mirrors, exhaust, toolbox and hood logo options.
Under the skin it is a high-poly 1:1 model with a new hood, engine and frame, a realistic 9.0l PowerTech diesel engine and true working Independent Link Suspension on mouse control. The interior is fully scripted with turn-on animations, HUDs and dashboard numbers, and 33 Simple IC animations cover the hood, door and window along with real values and real sounds.
