This mod brings a radar detector HUD to BeamNG.drive, styled after the Uniden R7. It displays your current speed and reacts to nearby police cars and traffic cameras just like a real detector unit.
Once added to your screen through the UI Apps menu, the detector shows Ka band warnings when an AI police car is close, complete with a directional arrow indicating whether it's ahead, left, or right. It also flags K band signals for traffic cameras positioned in front of you, staying silent for ones behind or beside you. As you get closer to a detected signal, the beeping quickens and the signal bars fill in, giving a clear sense of proximity.
The HUD includes a startup chime when the engine fires up and distinct alert tones for each band type. It can be freely resized and repositioned anywhere on screen to fit your preferred layout.
This is a great addition for players who enjoy realistic driving sims and want an extra layer of immersion, especially those running police chase or highway patrol scenarios.
