Police Tweaks Hard Mode adjusts the police system in Euro Truck Simulator 2 so it feels more realistic and less annoying. It is the hard version of the original Police Tweaks mod, intended for players who feel the game is too easy.
Every fine is doubled. On Level 0 you start with fines at 50% of their value, and as you progress the amount climbs to a maximum of 200%. Speeding penalties are doubled based on your speed, and fines issued after a normal police detection are doubled as well.
The mod also shortens the wait between penalties. The delays between fines for avoiding sleep, driving without lights at night and speeding are cut in half, non-police fines for the no lights violation are switched back on, and speed cameras now fine you 90% of the time.
The mod supports game version 1.60 and above. One known issue remains: the 10 second delay before a speeding fine for police vehicles sometimes does not work as intended, and this cannot be fixed within the mod itself.
