Circuit Thermalito is a fictional 5.035km race track built around the real roads surrounding the Thermalito Dam in Oroville, California. The layout winds along the water's edge and through two tunnels inside the dam, combining high-speed elevation changes with tight technical corners.
The track has been rebuilt from scratch using laser scan data, drone footage, and detailed photography to recreate the dam area with strong visual accuracy. It includes 3D grass and trees, full RainFX wet weather effects, and complete night lighting for varied racing conditions.
This update adds a new short layout alongside the original circuit, along with updated AI, new replay cameras, and support for the latest CSP and PURE lighting features. Tyre marbles, skidmarks, and kerb normals have also been refreshed for a cleaner look.
This track suits sim racers who enjoy unique, dam-inspired circuits with elevation changes and scenic detail, though it may be challenging for AI races involving top-tier open-wheel cars due to the steep terrain.
