Roadwave adds a music player to the car you are driving. It is a screen in the cabin that you can move, resize and push closer or further away, and every vehicle model remembers its own placement. It plays files you already have on your disk, and nothing is built into a specific vehicle, so it works in every car in the game.
The sound comes from the car itself: full volume near the wheel, quieter and duller as you walk away, and clearer when a door is open or the roof is down. Version 2.0 adds a playlist wheel with a short burst of static when you switch, a parking sensor for slow reversing, and radio damage that makes the music cut out after a crash until you reset the car.
Two HUD apps, a compact player and a browser, give quick control over playlists, tracks, volume and seeking. Settings survive a restart and playback resumes where it stopped. Restart the game once after updating so the new code loads.
