This addon introduces authentic reefer trailer sounds, bringing the familiar hum and startup beep of refrigerated units into the game. It uses the Sound Fixes Pack's reefer sound definitions to activate realistic cooling unit audio for compatible trailers.
Once installed alongside the required Sound Fixes Pack, the reefer sound will trigger automatically after coupling a trailer, continuing to hum throughout the drive and stopping once the trailer is detached. It works seamlessly with Freight Market and External Contracts, and can also function in Quick Jobs with a simple reconnect step.
For owned or ownable reefer trailers, a manual workaround through the audio settings menu allows players to force-enable the reefer sound, though without the startup beep effect. Volume can be fine-tuned using the Trailer Noise slider in the audio settings.
