PAAG stands for Perfect All Around Gearboxes, a set of three universal transmission options built for American Truck Simulator. Each gearbox is tuned to let trucks cruise efficiently at 45, 55 or 65 mph while keeping the engine running at optimal low RPM.
The gearboxes are matched to different engine torque curves, with versions optimized for engines peaking at 900, 1000 or 1200 RPM. Each box includes 16 forward gears, 2 crawler gears, 4 reverse gears, and a three-step retarder, along with three auxiliary brake stages for better control on descents.
These transmissions are compatible with all vanilla trucks in the game, as well as the Kenworth W990 and Freightliner FLB by Harven, the Mack R, and the Overfloater K100e. They're designed for drivers who want strong low-gear torque for heavy uphill starts without needing to constantly switch gearboxes between different trucks.
