Mercedes-Benz Truck for BeamNG.drive
This is a fully detailed Mercedes-Benz heavy truck platform built for hauling in BeamNG, and it covers a lot of ground: model-year versions from 2011, 2020, and 2025; both 6×4 and 4×2 axle layouts; several bodywork options; custom wheels and tires; EU trailer support; and full openable functionality. The model-year range isn’t just cosmetic—the axle setup, bodywork, engine behavior, gear ratios, and suspension all change how the rig drives, so there’s real variety packed into one mod.
How it drives
It’s a heavy vehicle, and it behaves like one, most at home on highways, industrial roads, delivery routes, and large open maps rather than tight cornering or stunts. Realistic-style engine power, gear ratios, and suspension mean it needs plenty of room to stop and deliberate steering through turns. Axle choice matters here: the 4×2 feels lighter and suits road work, while the 6×4 is the one for heavy hauls and stable cargo runs. Running both layouts on the same route is a good way to feel the difference.
Bodies, trailers and the cabin
The bodywork options let you spec the truck for distribution, long-haul, or roleplay transport jobs, and EU trailer support turns it into a proper logistics tool—hook up a trailer, and braking, acceleration, reversing, and cornering all start to count. Inside there are two dashboard layouts to match different versions, and the fully openable system makes it great for garage scenes, inspection, and close-up screenshots. Everything is fully JBeamed, so it reacts properly under braking, turning, and hauling and holds up for crash testing—low-speed impacts, trailer accidents, and cargo mishaps all depend on speed, angle, body, axle layout, and trailer weight.
Installing is simple: drop the .zip straight into your BeamNG.drive mods folder — don’t unzip it — and it appears in the in-game selector. New to mods? Our BeamNG. The drive installation guide walks through every step.
🔧 Our Test Notes
Hands-on notes from the CrashMods team
Give yourself a few runs before judging this one: the long stopping distances and deliberate steering ask for a completely different rhythm than a car, and tight corners are simply not its habitat, so plan around highways, industrial roads, and big open maps, and it clicks fast. Once we settled in, the best session we had was running the same delivery route in the 4x2 and then the 6x4; the difference is real, with the lighter layout suiting plain road work while the 6x4 plants itself under heavy cargo. Hooking up an EU trailer raises the stakes again, since braking, reversing, and cornering all start to count. The 2011, 2020, and 2025 versions swap gearing, suspension, and engine behavior; there are two dashboard layouts inside, and the fully openable setup turned our inspection stops into a small ritual. Everything is JBeamed properly, so trailer accidents and cargo mishaps play out believably too. Tested on BeamNG 0.38.
