10 Farming Simulator 22 Decoration Mods to Try

Decoration mods don’t add new gameplay to Farming Simulator 22, but they do a lot for how a farm or a map actually looks. Fences, lights, kerbstones, spare buildings and small clutter objects turn an empty patch of grass into something that feels lived-in, whether you’re filling out a yard, building a village next to your farm or just tidying up the road into town.

When picking a pack, think about where you’ll use it and how it’s placed. Some objects go through free mode so you can nudge them anywhere, others sit in build mode with grid snapping, which matters for fences, kerbstones and gates that need to line up. Also check the price and any daily upkeep listed, since a few of these objects add a small running cost to your farm.

1. Placeable Objects Pack

Placeable Objects Pack – 90+ Decorations for Farms and Towns

This is a large catch-all pack with over 90 placeable objects for dressing up a farm, village or town. Prices run from just 2 € for small items up to 3,000 € for bigger pieces, so there’s room to decorate on any budget.

Most of the objects are meant to go down in free mode rather than build mode, which makes sense given how specific their placement can be against buildings and roads. It works on any map and supports both singleplayer and multiplayer.

2. Light Poles Package

Two placeable light poles stand beside a road, enhancing the landscape in Farming Simulator 22.

Eight light poles in different shapes and sizes cover farmyard, silo and road lighting at night. Each one costs 100 $ to place plus a small daily upkeep of 1 €, so factor that into your farm’s running costs if you place several.

They go down through the construction menu like other placeables, which keeps the workflow simple if you’re already used to building in Farming Simulator 22.

3. Additional Decoration Package

Additional Decoration Package – 56 Placeable Deco Objects

A build mode pack with 56 decorative objects aimed at filling in the small details a farmyard is missing. The price is low at 17 $, and the set covers a wide range of items rather than focusing on one theme.

One detail that stands out is a toilet object with a door that actually opens, a small touch that shows some attention went into the modelling. The pack works on any map in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

4. Placeable Buildings Pack

Placeable Buildings Pack – Over 30 Buildings for Villages and Towns

Over 30 placeable buildings give you the pieces to put together a small village or fill out a larger town area on any map. Prices range from 1,000 € to 12,000 € per building, which lets you build it up gradually instead of spending everything at once.

Everything here is decorative rather than functional, so it’s about giving empty parts of the map a built-up, lived-in feel.

5. Garden Lights Pack

Garden Lights Pack – 4 Small Decorative Garden Lights

Four small garden lights for lighting up a yard or garden area without taking up much space. They’re placeable decoration objects, so they slot in around buildings without needing much planning.

The whole pack is a tiny download at under 1 MB, which makes it an easy add to any save without worrying about load times or mod list bloat.

6. Kerbstone Set

Kerbstone Set – Paintable Kerbstones and Water Gutters

This set brings paintable kerbstones to build mode, finished the same way as a fence so the edge looks consistent along a yard, road or driveway. It also includes water gutters in 4 m and 6 m lengths and lowered kerbstones in four different lengths, covering the usual transitions you’d need at driveways.

Pricing is per metre for the kerbstones and fixed per piece for the gutters and lowered sections. Placement only works on even ground, and the mod recommends using grid placement to keep everything lined up.

7. Metal Fence With Gates

Metal Fence With Gates – Paintable Fence with 4 Gate Types

A paintable metal fence for build mode, built around a 2.5 m fence element priced per metre, with four gate options covering swing and sliding types in two heights. That gives you enough variety to close off a yard, a pasture or a machine hall with something that actually matches the fence style.

The gates work best on flat ground, and you’ll find the whole set under Decoration › Fences in the build menu. An update added a lower fence variant and trimmed the slot count, so it’s a reasonably light addition to a save.

8. Placeable Dairy Farm Package

Placeable Dairy Farm Package – 50 € Dairy Yard Decorations

A small decoration pack built specifically around dairy farms, with three calf igloos, a wheelbarrow, a slurry mixer and a handful of concrete and rusty detail pieces. The idea is to add the everyday clutter a working dairy yard would actually have instead of leaving it looking too clean.

Every piece is priced at 50 €, keeping the cost predictable no matter how much you place. The file is small and includes fixes for flying snow and multiplayer behaviour, and it works on any map.

9. Mailboxes

A vibrant blue mailbox stands beside a rustic house, enhancing the Farming Simulator 22 environment with detail.

A simple pack of two placeable mailboxes for putting in front of a farmhouse or along a village road. They have a small footprint and a realistic look, so they fit into a farmyard without standing out too much.

The pack costs 400 € with a small daily maintenance of 1 €, and it works fine on any map in singleplayer or multiplayer.

10. Decorative Details Pack

Decorative Details Pack – 66 Placeable Farm Objects

This pack takes objects straight from the base game’s own maps and makes them placeable, so you get 66 items including shelves, trash, building materials, tools and rocks. Prices start at just 5 $ for small pieces and go up to 1,300 $ for something as big as a playground.

A couple of items need a bit of care: the drainage pipe needs the terrain adjusted before you drop it, and some objects have levelling turned off. Selling placed objects works correctly in multiplayer, and the set works on any map.

Tips for decoration mods in Farming Simulator 22

  • Check whether a pack is meant for free mode or build mode before placing it, since fences, kerbstones and gates usually need grid snapping to line up properly.
  • Flat or even ground matters for several of these objects, so level the terrain first if a gate, fence or kerbstone section refuses to sit right.
  • Keep an eye on daily maintenance costs on lights and mailboxes, since placing a lot of them will add up on your farm’s balance sheet over time.
  • If you’re playing in multiplayer, place and sell test objects first to confirm they sync properly for everyone on the server.
  • Smaller decoration packs are easy to mix and match, so you can combine a few of these without worrying much about file size or load times.
